Have you eaten your breakfast? Yes, Ma’am

What time do you usually go to school in the (students raised their hands)
morning?
Rubina Ma’am I go to school before seven in the morning.

Why do you have to leave your house that early? Ma’am I have to leave the house early so that I can
catch the bus and I can attend my class early.
Ma’am our last topic yesterday is all about Injury.
What about the others, what are your means of
transportation in going to school? Where do you
ride in going to school? (students raised their hands)

Roanne

So what do you think is much safer to ride? Why?
Is there any means of transportation vehicles that
can assure passengers to be safe? (students raised their hands)

Rochelle We can never say or we cannot assure that riding a

bus, jeep, motorbike or tricycle is safe because we
are always expose to danger. Everywhere is a
danger zone that‘s why we should be careful
always in our everyday life activities.

That’s true class! Accidents may happen anytime,

anywhere and to anybody, whether you are rich or
poor, old or young so it’s very important that we
are aware of what these possible dangers are.

d.) Motivation
.
Let’s have an activity.

each group will give examples that might happen
to these persons when they are on their work. The
group that has many examples that will write on
the board will be the winner and will have the
prize.

B. Presentation

What concepts or conclusion can you make from (students raised their hands)
our activity that we have done?
Ma’am I can say that we are living in fear and the
Joshua uncertainly of danger everyday. We are always
expose to danger regardless of age, sex, status and
profession.

Excellent conclusion Joshua!

Intentional and Unintentional Injuries. But we go
first to the definition of injury.
Do you have an idea about what is injury? (students raised their hands)

Injury, also known as physical, is damage to the

and unintentional injuries. But we go first to
intentional injuries.

resulting from purposeful human action.

hurting yourself or others and these are planned
actions.

that were unplanned.

It also the one of the main causes of death and is
one of the more common causes of emergency
hospital admissions in children.
Now, can anyone in class give an example of (students raised their hands)
unintentional injuries?

Patrick Poisonings, falls, fire and burn injuries and

drowning.
Very good Patrick!

So for us to further know about our lesson, let’s

have another activity. I need 8 students who wants
to volunteer or will try to classify the given news
headlines as to whether they are intentional or
unintentional injury.
News Headlines:

being bullied.

A drunk security guard hit by a car.

A boy, accidentally drowned himself.

Teenager was raped and slain.

graveyard.

Very good class!

clarification?

and unintentional injuries again? (students raised their hands)

Godfrey Ma’am. Intentional injury, It is something you do

planned actions, while unintentional injury refers
to the injuries that were unplanned.
Excellent Godfrey! Let’s give him an excellent clap
class.
