1. How-to?
1.1 Access Citrix?
Citrix is available through the following URL: http://ossweb.prod.airtel.es/Citrix/XenApp

1.2 Do I need to install any local software?

Citrix receiver is required to be able to run Citrix on the local PC. This is part of Vodafone VIC, so you shouldn’t
need to do anything.
If for any reason your PC does not have this software installed you can request help-desk support in order to fix it,
or if you have the right privileges install it following these steps:
1) Go to Citrix web site http://www.citrix.es/products/receiver/overview.html
2) Download and install the client

3) Restart the browser

1.3 How do I request access?

IDM de red is used to manage access to Citrix. Follow these steps to request access:
1) Login into IDM de red : https://sunjesweb-teide.ing.airtel.es:8082/idm/user/login.jsp
2) Inside IDM Select : “Modificar otros atributos de cuenta”
3) Pestaña “Asignaciones
4) Move “OSSWEB-SP” from the windows “Recursos disponibles” to “Recursos vigentes” and select [Guardar]

1.4 I don’t remember my password. How can I reset it?

IDM de red is used to manage your credentials. Follow these steps to request access:

1.6 Save files from applications running on Citrix to my PC?

From the application, start browsing on your computer. You shall have some disks available in the following
format (C$). This is in fact the local C drive from your PC mapped in Citrix server.
Selecting this will show you your local directories where you can save your files.

If your local drive is not available as described, this is because you haven’t granted access to Citrix to your PC.
See in the know problems – ‘Can access my PC to save/load files’

1.7 Load files from my PC into Citrix?

The same as previous step.

2. Know problems
2.1 After login in the Citrix URL, when I click on an application, it does not start and I’m
prompted to download a .ica file

This happens when you are using a non supported browser or if you don’t have the Citrix receiver
installed. Try to access using Internet Explorer 10.0 through 6.0, if the problem persist see on the “how-
to” section how to download and install the client.

2.2 Can’t access my PC to save/load files

This happens if you have not granted access citrix access to your PC. Follow these steps to fix it:
1) With a citrix application running, right click over citrix connection center (on your active application list) to
open it

OR terminate only the application by selecting the application, right click and choose ‘Terminate’

2.4 I left an application running, but when I returned to my PC it was no longer there
In order to free resources when applications are no longer in use, Citrix is configured with an inactivity
timeout of 120mn
Meaning that after this period of inactivity (no interaction between the user and the application), the user is
automatically logged out.
This setting is per Citrix Farm, meaning that we can’t have different time-out to different applications. It’s
applicable for the complete environment.
