Ketut Sudikerta Named
Suspect in Pecatu Land

Bali Express reports that the
former deputy-governor of Bali, I
Ketut Sudikerta, was formally
named a suspect by Provincial
Police Headquarters on Friday,
November 30, 2018. Sudikerta,
who serves as the chairman of the
Golkar Party in Bali, was charged
by police in three separate cases
of embezzlement, fraud, and
money-laundering.
A written document issued by
Agung Kanigoro Nusantoro of the
Provincial Police says police
strongly suspect Sudikerta
committed fraud or embezzlement
by using falsified documents and
also participated in acts of money
laundering. He is being charged
under section 378 and 372 of the
Criminal Code (KUHP) and
Section 3 of Law Number 8 of
2010.
The spokesperson for the
provincial police, Hengky Widjaja,
refused further comment on the
case except to say Sudikerta was
named a suspect after undergoing
examination from the Criminal
Division of the Provincial Police.

Sudikerta's wife served as Chief

company was Gunawan
Priambodo.
Following negotiations and some
degree of due diligence, PT
Marindo Investama declared its
interest in purchasing the two
parcels of land for Rp. 150 billion.
The transaction was concluded in
late 2013.
Several months after the purchase
was concluded, it was discovered
the land certificate covering the
38,650 square meter plot had
been falsified. In the meantime,

been sold to a third party. As the

Growing up as a young
scrapper obsessed with
heavyweight boxing, Tyson
Fury set his eyes on one and
only one goal.
It became his 'Everest'; that thing
that drives you to wake up in the
dark and train alone. To keep a
strict diet, ignore temptation, turn
down social invitations and keenly
hone a laser-like focus.
That goal was as simple as it was
ambitious: defeat the undisputed
king of heavyweight boxing,
Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury knew before their famous
bout in 2015
that at 27 years
old, if he
managed to
beat the man he
idolised coming
up through the
ranks, he'd take
the Rocky
Marciano route
and retire a

champion. He
knew he'd

afterwards”. He
knew he'd have

That realisation, accompanied by
a serious ankle injury three months
after taking the world title derailed
not only Fury's plans for a lucrative

“It wasn't till after the Klitschko fight
I had a very massive high that I had
an even worse low — the lowest
low that anyone could ever have,”
he revealed on Joe Rogan's
podcast last month.
“I said the day after the fight, I'd
probably never box again. I said I'd
probably be depressed for a long
time. I was almost expecting it. I
didn't have anything more to
prove. The fire was dead.”

wake up this morning?' This is
coming from a man who had
everything: money, fame, glory,
titles, a wife, a family, kids —
everything.
“But I felt as if I had nothing. I felt
an empty, gaping hole that was

Fury, who on Sunday drew his
highly-anticipated bout with
Deontay Wilder in controversial
circumstances, hit rock bottom as
quickly as he'd risen to the top of
his sport.
It's a much-celebrated comeback
story by now, a boxing fairytale
rooted in overcoming impossible
odds. Fury, mired in a deep
depression, gained a huge amount
of weight and turned to drugs,
alcohol and sex to self-medicate.
This could have become a global
story of tragedy, a cautionary tale
of fame and fortune knocking a
young man off the rails.
Fury eventually picked himself up
off the floor, shed nearly 60kg, got
sober and transformed himself
back into one of the world's most
dominant and powerful athletes.
But what we didn't know until now
is exactly how Fury felt; how
heavily his despair weighed on the
enormous shoulders of this
English man-mountain. The
gnawing feelings of nothingness
that plagued him when he found
himself alone with his thoughts,
that drove him to heavy substance

abuse and nearly suicide.
He wanted to die.
“I was depressed as depressed
could be on a daily basis. I was
thinking 'why am I feeling like this?
I have no reason to feel like this.'
Unless you've experienced what
I've saying it's sort of impossible to
understand and it went from bad to
worse.
“On a daily basis I hit the drugs, I
was out all night partying with
women of the night and not coming
home. I didn't care about boxing, I
didn't care about living. I just
wanted to die. And I was going to
have a good time doing it.
“I used to drink
and take drugs
to get away
f r o m t h e
depression
because when I
was drunk or
high I didn't
think about
b e i n g
depressed. But
when it wears
off… you feel
even more
depressed. For
s o m e o n e
suffering with
mental health,
the worst thing you can do to
escape it is take drugs or alcohol.
“That's the most common thing….
This is where I want to spread the
word… so other people in this
position they know where to go
and what to do because there's a
blueprint.”
Fury dedicated his bout with
Wilder to everyone suffering with
mental health. Around the world,
that's a lot of people who can take
heart from his story.
'No, Tyson, don't do this'
In Australia the statistics are stark:
nearly eight people die every day
from suicide. Six of those will be
men. One in four will experience
some form of mental ill-health
during their lives.

story, while incredulous to the point
of being seemingly unrelatable, is
actually entirely relatable. He was a
young man who lost his way. Who
felt like he had nothing more to give;
like his life had lost meaning.
“I fight because I don't know
anything else. I don't have any other
passion,” he said.
“I tried retirement but it wasn't
enough. I am lost without this fight
game. I had this emptiness inside…
for two-and-a-half years.
“I was sitting here at 400 pounds
(180kg), a drug addict, an alcoholic
— by the way I'd never taken a drug
until I was 27. Cocaine and alcohol.
It's a crazy mix.
“I was making everyone's life a
misery. No one could talk any sense
into me and I'd go very, very low at
times — very low. And I'd start
having these crazy thoughts.
“I'd bought a brand new Ferrari
convertible. I was on the highway.
There's a massive bridge that
crosses the motorway. I got the car
up to 190 miles an hour headed
towards the bridge. I didn't care
about hurting my family, career,
friends, anybody. I just wanted to die
so bad I'd given up on life.
“As I was heading towards that
bridge, I heard a voice. It said 'No.
Don't do this, Tyson. Think about

slipping. He tried and tried and tried.
But he couldn't stand being in the
gym. He'd give up early on every
run. He hated boxing, and continued
to drink and take drugs.
The moment eventually came at an
unlikely point. Fury, dressed in a
skeleton suit for Halloween, looked
around the room at a party and
realised he didn't want to be there.
He went home, took off his costume
and prayed in the dark, begging
through tears on his knees.
“After about 10 minutes I got up and
felt like the weight of the world was
off my shoulders, and for the first
time in years, I knew I was going to
make a comeback.
“I called my wife — she thought I
was drunk — and I said Monday
morning I'm starting the 'regain'
mission, to get the heavyweight

over 12 months, Fury had
transformed himself from obese,
alcoholic, suicidal drug addiction to
world champion contender.
“Everybody out there suffering from
the same problems, I did it for you,”
Fury told BT Sport after the Wilder
fight.
“If I can come back from what I've
been through then you can do it too.”
And he's never going back.

Now in its fifth year of
operations, Bali's only
toll road – Jalan Tol Bali
Mandara managed by
Jasamarga Bali Tol
(JBT) continues to
record yearly losses.
The yearly income on the JBT
averages around Rp. 165 billion
against yearly expenditures of
Rp. 191 billion. The resulting
loss of around Rp. 26 billion
was revealed in a meeting with
the Bali Post at Warung 63 in
Denpasar. In attendance at the
g a t h e r i n g o n T h u r s d a y,
November 29, 2018, were the
CEO of JBT, Enkky Sasono
Anas Wijaya; accompanied by
t h e C o r p o r a t e S e c r e t a r y,
Drajad Hari Suseno; and the
Director of Finance, Sukariyadi
Rudi Meidiyanto.
In breaking down the expenses
of running the toll road, Enkky
Sasono said principal and
interest payments totaled Rp.
136 billion, and operating
expenses including staff wages
Rp. 55 billion. He said each
year the toll road experiences a
deficit of Rp. 31 billion.
Despite current losses, Enkky
remains optimistic that the toll
road with a concession period
of 45 years, the 12.7 kilometer
long toll road will soon become
profitable.
The JBT is now seeking ways to
create new revenue streams,
including resurrecting shelved
plans to build “Bedawang Nala”

by selling bonds on the stock
exchange. JBT, however, can
only obtain Rp. 800 billion on
the bond market. In order to
raise fresh capitals in excess of
Rp. 1 trillion, the company
would have to build the
additional shopping and
tourism facility envisioned in the
Bedawang Nala.
