CHAPTER III

LESSONS LEARNT AND FEEDBACK

Internship itself is a pathway for making students more responsible since they are assigned
responsibility to work in an organization working in the field of development. Being a fresher
it’s a tough challenge to adjust in a totally unknown organizational environment. But side by side
it’s a source of opportunity for students to make them able to tackle with lots of responsibilities.
The major responsibilities assigned during our internship program are as follows:
 Helping in registration.
 Work as per the plan.
 Assisting in their report.

3.1 Key Skills and Attitudes Learnt

During this internship period as an intern, I got an opportunity to learn about daily activities
performed in the Udayana Central, which will be an added advantage to personify my
professional skills. Some of the lessons learnt during this internship program are stated below:

i. The most important lesson learned was running a project successful is a result of good
management.
ii. The internship program develops capability to deal with the people, influence and finally
build the confidence within students.
iii. It provide platform to learn about the working environment and the international
organizational culture.
iv. It helps to realize the importance of the time management and the need of the
communication skills during the internship.

3.2 Feedback to the Organization

Udayana Center for NCDs, Tobacco Control and Lung Health (UDAYANA CENTRAL) with
modern technology and experience staff within a short period of its operation is about to provide
satisfaction to the concerned parties. To achieve more goals it should adopt more new concepts
and plans soon.

11
In order to attract more attention. The company should include in various activities in order to
enhance goodwill of the company. Moreover one should be good in making personal relation.
One should be ethical while dealing with the customers.

• Participate in the tobacco-control activities of health professional networks.

• Support campaigns for tobacco-free public places.
• The organization should follow the different methods while conducting the programs.
• They should mainly focus on the young age people in order to control the lung diseases.
• Conduct a public awareness program in the different areas of Bali.
• And finally, the organization should give some allowances to intern students.

3.3 Feedback to the College/ University

It is good procedure for gaining practical knowledge to MBA student in 5 th trimester which is
design by Pokhara University. It is good curriculum developed to support the on the job training.
Through this procedure we do such job which helps to our personal development towards for
future career. I think not only in 5th trimester, there should have been the provision of internship
in all the trimester. It is advised too internship management committee to visit the during the
concerned business organization once or twice during the internship period. It will motivate the
student and help to build up their confidence. University should help students to cope with the
problem encountered during the internship. Problems like not proper assigning of job, lack of
proper communication and cooperation from the job supervisor and in his regard the internship
management committee should help student to cope with such problems faced with the proper
relationship with the concerned business organization.

Some further feedbacks are as follows:

 College should arrange the paid Internship in the foreign Organization for the students.

 And finally, The University should continue with internship program that helps to
prepare the students for their careers in future and also enable the students to practice the
theoretical knowledge obtained during class be exercised practically.

 Thus, none of the people be expert only by reading and completing degree, the most
important is how capable we are in utilizing our skills and abilities into the work place.
