Universal Music Group also known as UMG is an American but global

music corporation. It is a subsidiary of the world media conglomerate
Vivendi. Its main headquarters currently resides in California. Originally,
UMG was attached to Universal Pictures with origins dating to 1934 when
there was a formation of Decca Records which is British record label.
Universal Music Group currently operate in over 60 countries from music
recording to merchandise and audio visuals.
Figures from 2017 show that UMG grossed a total of 6.44 billion dollars in
revenue. This would be due to the immense size of diversity of artists signed
under Universal Music Group. For example, they have signed artists such
