Introduction

This is intended as a quick Reference Guide for Harvest Moon Boy & Girl PSP
game, a new version of the old 'Back to Nature' game for the Playstation.
There are some differences between the old and new games, naturally. In
Harvest Moon Boy & Girl, as the title suggests, you can choose to play either
a boy or a girl. In the original Japanese version, playing a boy
is 'Destiny' and playing a girl is 'Fate'. If you play as a boy, your game
will continue after marriage and you can have a child. If you play as a girl,
the game will end when you marry.
Remember that the PSP allows multiple save files, an unusual option for
players accustomed to Harvest Moon games on handheld systems such as the Game
Boy and DS systems. What this means in practical terms, is that you can have
MANY different games founded on an original game. Playing as a girl, then,
you could save a file BEFORE marriage to any bachelor and then proceed to
marry bachelors without saving the results.
Playing as a boy, you could court ALL eligible girls in an initial file, then
branch off to save different 'lives' in different files. The PSP is a
wonderful system in this respect and one particularly suited to Harvest Moon
where there is no 'single' ending.
I am working on a Comprehensive Guide for Harvest Moon Boy & Girl but I felt
that a Calendar Guide would be useful to all players. It includes all
Festivals and Birthdays as well as gifts that each individual loves and
likes. I have tried to list inexpensive items as well as those that are easy
to obtain rather than giving comprehensive lists here for each individual. At
the beginning of each season, there is a list of crops and wild items specific
to that season.

Harvest Moon PSP Boy & Girl General Guide

In this game as in many Harvest Moon games, gifts of items that an individual
likes will raise affection and/or friendship levels. Many events are
predicated upon specific Affection or Friendship levels. There are both Heart
and Rival Heart Events in Harvest Moon B&G and experiencing any Heart Event
and choosing the correct option when one exists will raise the Heart level of
the girl or bachelor involved.
When a gift is presented to an individual on his/her birthday, it has a far
greater value in terms of raising or lowering Affection and/or Friendship than
it would if given on any other day. When the item is gift-wrapped by the
Supermarket as a birthday gift, its value is boosted even more.
I therefore have listed a few of the least expensive or most easily obtained
items with an individual's birthday in order to allow players to take
advantage of this special day in each individual's life.
With respect to seeds:
The Supermarket is open from 9.00 to 6.00 p.m. every day except Sunday and
Tuesday
Won can be found in this game on the ground floor of the Inn near the stairs
during the day

Spring Crops:

Turnips: 4 days, single harvest: 60G (buy seeds at Supermarket for 120G)
Potatoes: 7 days, single harvest: 80G (buy seeds at Supermarket for 150G)
Cucumbers: 9 days, multiple harvest: 60G (buy seeds at Supermarket for 200G)
