ACADEMIC PROJECTS & VOCATIONAL TRAININGS

Trainings

 MTNL, Kidwai Bhawan, Janpath, Delhi; Jun’08 to Aug’08; This was done under the OCB-283 Department.
Gained knowledge about Network Planning and the Switching Project (soft corner of communications network) as well
as equipped with switching and it’s implementation in controlling flow of network in Broadband & Telephonic System.

 TICO Institute of Embedded Technology, Delhi; Jul’09 to Aug’09; This was a basic Embedded System Training
having all hardware and software knowledge of systems. It also involved development of a mini project based on
microcontroller 8051 named Energy Saver. This project was based on management of power supply in any system,
widely applicable in all departments.

Projects

 Design of a RF ID based Attendance System (at B.E. Level); Jan’10 to Apr’10; This project was based on
Microcontroller 8051. Main objective of the system was to uniquely identify and make attendance for a person. This
required a unique product, which had the capability of distinguishing different person. This was possible by new
emerging technology RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). Main parts of RFID System were : RFID Tag (with unique
ID number) and RFID Reader (for reading the RFID tag). In this system, RFID Tag and RFID Reader were used with
operating at 125KHz. The EEPROM used for storing the details had the capability of storing 256 person details at a
time. This report provided a clear picture of hardware and software used in the system. It also provided an overall
view with detailed discussion for operations of the system. Attendance was stored in PC using the Hyperterminal
software in front end.

PROFESSIONAL ENHANCEMENTS (WORKSHOPS, INDUSTRIAL VISITS)

 Industrial visit to Infosys, Chandigarh; Attended very knowledgeable workshop in the Infosys campus. Gained a
know about their working environment as well as the techniques to obtain all IT solutions.
 Industrial visit to BSNL, Panipat: Familiarized with the management and operations of entire BSNL System.
 Optical Communication: Learnt about various Transmitters, encoding of a message into signals, receivers, forms of
optical communication, optical fiber communication as well as free-space optical communications.
 Data Communication: Learnt about various components in data communication, data communication networks.
 Wireless Communication System: Gained knowledge about Cellular System Design, Frequency Reuse, Handoff
Strategies as well as the Wireless Local Area Networks.

IT SKILLS
 Well versed with MS Office 2007 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Windows & Internet Applications.
 Fundamental knowledge of C, C++.
 Conversant with TINA software.
