XCOM 2 CONSOLE COMMANDS

Also includes the commands from the DLC’s: Shen’s Gift, Alien Hunters, War of the
Chosen
Introduction
This document contains information about the console commands in XCOM 2. It’s more
or less a collection of commands and values found online on many websites, and all
are tested to confirm that they work. It might not include all values and commands
available online, so I encourage you to search online for more information about
the command and/or values.
Warning
Using commands does NOT disable achievements (for those who use a legal version of
the game), and may also cause hangs, crashes, and unexpected behaviour ingame. It
is cannot guaranteed that the behaviour is the same when mods (such as Long War)
are enabled. Use at your own risk. And yes, this document contains spoilers
(obviously).
Note
This list is incomplete and will be updated over time. Feel free to let me know

Getting Started
Add the following command parameters to the launch options in steam or your desktop
shortcut (without the quotes): “-allowconsole -log -autodebug”

To open the console inside the game, press the “~” key once. To execute an entered
command, press the “ENTER” key once. To get the console on the bottom of the
screen, press the “\” key once.

To enable use of commands, open the console, type “EnableCheats” without the quotes
and execute it. You’re now good to go!

Commands
Avenger
These commands can only be used when not in a mission or cutscene.
AddItem (ItemName, Amount)
This has by far the biggest list of values. This gives or removes the specified
item a specified amount of times. You can remove items by using a negative value
(-) for Amount.

Note: The console doesn’t give an error when not using a correct value. You might
need to switch between screens (from armory to Geoscape and back for example) to
see the changes.

GiveTech (Research)
This command adds things to research. For example, you could research plasma
weapons early on, provided that you researched the required research.

Note: The console doesn’t give an error when not using a correct value. You might
need to switch between screens (from armory to Geoscape and back for example) to
see the changes.

command right after you returned to the avenger from a mission.

Note: It does not behave correctly with certain classes. If you are not sure if you
want to risk the game to break, stick with the vanilla ones.

facility at a place that contains debris, is under construction or already has a
facility.

Note: You might need to switch between screens (from armory to Geoscape and back
for example) to see the changes. Creating a facility at the wrong place (position
1, 2) or on top of each other can screw up the game, so make sure you use the
correct values.

There are too many GiveXXX things for inside the avenger, so I’ll drop the ones
that don’t have more than 1 parameter here. It is not possible to use negative
values for these commands.
GiveScientist (Level)
Gives a scientist of specified level.
Maximum level is 100.
GiveEngineer (Level)
Gives a engineer of specified level.
Maximum level is 100.
GiveFactionSoldiers
Gives one soldier of each faction (Reaper, Skirmisher, Templar).

Note: Works only in War of the Chosen. If you didn’t receive Dragunova, Mox, and
that templar guy yet, you will not be able to obtain them with this command. Mox
rescue mission will not reward Mox.

you play with the War of the Chosen DLC, you also need to specify whenever it’s for
the base stat or not.

RemoveFortressDoom (Amount)
Removes specified amount of progress from the avatar project.
Note: progress caused blacksite projects will NOT be removed

Heals all soldiers in the barracks.
LevelUpBarracks (Amount)
Levels up all soldiers in the barracks with the specified amount
Note: depending on the soldier’s learning speed, they might (not) promote.
