We’re a family business based in the Cotswolds, with over 50 years experience in
kitchen design and cabinet making. Our passion is design, craft and character.

The kitchens and furniture we craft will become a well loved feature in your home,
lasting a lifetime. The wood and joints of your cabinets are guaranteed for 25 years.

Our wooden units are either painted or naturally finished with oils. Painted finishes
are very popular and available in any colour. Natural finishes show wood with lots of
character, each piece has interesting grain and is as unique as the trees it has been
crafted from.

We are proud of our ability to design a kitchen with you that will be the heart of
your home. We take time to understand your needs and, with a watchful eye on your
budget, design your kitchen including bespoke pieces that make your kitchen uniquely

We understand your kitchen is the heart of your home, a financial

as well as emotional investment. It is vital you know what is going
on and that your project runs smoothly. This is why we manage the
whole process with meticulous detail.

Each kitchen is unique; from the initial consultation and planning

through to the cabinetry, preparation, delivery & fitting.
We use traditional British woodworking methods such as dovetail
joints and mortice & tenon joints as well as in frame doors to ensure
your cabinets last a lifetime.

All the work is carried out by our own team with full control at every
stage. The wood we use is sustainably and sensitively sourced in the
Carpathian Alps of Romania where bears, wolves and wild boar
roam. We then bring a slice of Europe’s largest wilderness to the
Cotswolds. Four Corners offers a professional service with the added
personal touch, flexibility and friendliness you would expect from a
family run company.

 DESIGNING YOUR PERFECT KITCHEN

Following our expert Kitchen Designer’s first meeting with you at your home we will start with a blank
piece of paper at the drawing board and map out your kitchen the traditional way. This plan will then be
used to generate a virtual kitchen design based on your discussions with us.

Using our Computer Aided Design (CAD) package we are able to put together a design sheet featuring
detailed floor plans, 3D views, birds eye views and photo realistic pictures to help you visualise the final
look of your kitchen... Allowing you to see your kitchen before it is even built.

This information is presented to you at our second meeting. We explain the design and go through
the plan,the CADs and the costs with you. Our initial meeting has often prompted further thoughts
on your part so together we have a thorough discussion and amend the design to ensure your new
kitchen is all you hope for.

 DEVELOPING & PREPARING YOUR SPACE

We provide a full range of building works for your home from removing walls and inserting
RSJ’s to re-plastering, plumbing and electrics. In the project shown here we altered a wall,
plastered; installed under floor heating, new plumbing and electrics; self levelled the floor
and, laid the tiles. This was all project managed by ourselves prior to fitting the kitchen.

Handmade in Ash, a durable sustainable hardwood, it features

tongue and groove doors and drawers and is shown here with
steel handles.

The Cotswold range takes its cue from country kitchens and furniture.

Tongue and groove panelling together with peg detailing on doors and drawer frames give this range

Kitchen worktops need to be both practical and complementary to the design of your
kitchen and your budget. Four Corners offer a huge range of worktops from top of the
range Dekton & Corian to all stones and wood, as well as everything else you may need.

Here is a summary of a few of the options:
DEKTON
A highly compressed man-made stone worktop with a
heatproof and stain-proof guarantee; it comes in a variety
of colours and finishes. As an elite studio we have access to
exclusive designs.
CORIAN
Like Dekton, Corian is man-made; bonding stone with a
high level of resin. It can be moulded to create sinks and
upstands with no seams. It comes in a range of colours.
QUARTZ COMPOSITE
Market leading brands such as Silestone offer a wide range
of colours for this very popular man-made stone. It comes
in slabs like granite and is stain resistant. As an elite studio
we have access to exclusive styles.
GRANITE & MARBLE
Natural stones from around the world with all the changes
and variety you would expect from a natural product and
a large number of colours. Granite is a harder stone than
marble.

SOLID SURFACE
A hybrid of laminate and man-made stone, Solid Surface
worktops have a acrylic surface usually 8mm thick with a
particle board core. Cheaper than the stone worktops and
offering a similar looking finish.
WOOD
Available in a wide variety of colours and finishes, wooden
worktops add character and, offer the acoustic ability
to soak up noise in a room where you may have lots of
solid surfaces. A cost effective solution and often used in
combination with stone.
LAMINATE
The most famous name of this type is Formica.
A particle board base is topped with a thin layer of limited
heat and stain resistant plastic; Available in a wide variety
of colours; Cost effective way of fitting a worktop when
budgets are tight.
BESPOKE WORKTOPS
Cement, stainless steel and slate worktops can all be
sourced. Just let us know what you’d like during your
design consultation.
 ACCESSORISE YOUR KITCHEN

Your kitchen cabinets will feature the highest quality fittings including smooth closing Blum
drawer runners and, a wide variety of pull-outs including internal wirework such as magic
corners and easily accessible larders multi-compartment integrated bins and,
of course cabinet lighting.

Essential to your kitchen are sinks and taps; with thousands to choose from you will be spoilt
for choice. Many of our customers also have boiler and filter taps fitted too – no more
waiting for the kettle to boil!

We supply all brands of integrated and freestanding electrical appliances.

Brands include: Fisher & Paykel, Miele, Bosch and Neff.
Innovative products such as a favourite for islands, the Bora hob, with its integrated extraction & as
seen on baking shows Neff’s Hide & Glide oven doors are favourites of our customers.

Extractor fans come in many shapes and sizes too; whether your preference is for a contemporary
statement or a hidden option. Our bespoke canopy surrounds for integrated extraction create a
wonderful focal point in kitchens.

 ACORNS TO OAK TREES

We’d have to go back nearly 40 years to discover the acorn from which Four
Corners has grown - James’ father David began his career with furniture.
James grew up in the family business making his first piece of furniture whilst
he was still in primary school. When James and David set up Four Corners in
1999 they decided the furniture should be made in Romania – its sensitively
managed forests and skilled craftsmen made it an obvious choice.

In the Carpathian Alps they bought an old dairy farm and converted it into a
workshop with state of the art tools and, their own kiln to dry the wood.
They also employed Doina and Cristi Stania whom David met in his first
forays into the country’s cabinet making industry. Doina and Cristi have been
joined by 40 skilled craftsmen and women working for them; James visits
every month - David has now retired.

As Four Corners owns its own workshop this means we control the quality
and, have the flexibility needed to offer bespoke kitchens and furniture.
Once the kitchens and furniture have been crafted it is hand finished to
our customers’ requirements or primed ready for hand-painting and then
carefully bubble-wrapped awaiting shipment to us in the Cotswolds.

We want our kitchens and furniture to be as eco-friendly as it can be. We’ve

built our own solar powered kilns to dry our wood. The trees we use have
been individually chosen; there is a no clear felling policy in the forests the
logs can be pulled out by horses to minimise ecological damage.

We are proud of our British heritage and Romanian craft.
