By: Mohamad Hafizuddin Bin Mohd Sukri Supervisor: Dr Haylay Tsegab Gebretsadik
Methodology Conclusion
Desk Studies
The different fracture sets in the Paleozoic limestone of the Kinta Valley are presented in a sequential pattern
and used to trace its tectonic evolution. The folding structures and conjugated fractures in study area indicate
Geological Fieldwork
that this area has experience a strong compression that cause the process of tilting and uplifting of the
fractures that had been highly influence by the granitic intrusion. Besides that, trend of lineaments were inden-
tified at study area where the orientation of fractures appears to strike in NW-SE trend. Thus it can be stated
Field Study that the stress field in this two area are coincided with the general trend of Kinta Valley
