18-21, 2010
Dear Families,
We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Thank you for the apple donations!
Green apples were the favorite among the classes.  This week we’re talking about
pumpkins. They will get to explore the outside and inside of the pumpkins, make
pumpkin pudding, count/match pumpkins and hammer nails into pumpkins. Progress
reports will go home next week. We will also send a letter explaining how to read the
assessment report. If you have questions and would like to set up a conference to discuss
your child’s report, I would be glad to meet with you after the reports go home.

***As the weather is getting cooler, make sure to send a jacket/coat with your child
because we will go outside even in the colder weather. Also, go ahead and send in winter
extra clothes. As we get your child’s winter clothes, we will send home their summer
extra clothes. Please remember to send new clothes back if we have sent home dirty
clothes.

Items for the classroom: (below are a few items we need for the classroom. If you would like
to donate something, please let us know)
1. Clorox Anywhere spray (we want to use this to sanitize the tables between classes and at
the end of the day to help stop the spread of germs)
2. Bag of Play sand for our outdoor sand table
3. Pumpkins for carving in the classroom
As always, thanks for your help and support!!!
