e.g. how did you feel about conducting a formal observation? How did your colleague
feel about being observed? How did you feel about discussing your observations with
your colleague after the lesson? How did your colleague react to your assessment?
Did she agree with your evaluation? Which of the suggestions you made will your
colleague apply in her next lesson? Do you and your colleague feel that this was a
valuable experience? Why/Why not?
To begin with, I think being an observer is a good thing to give us opportunities to learn from other
mistakes and try to improve ourselves while we teach. In addition, it’s a good strategy to let us think
critically while we conduct a plan for our lesson and have a real example to observed. However, my
classmate was acceptable with my comments about her lesson and she’s glad that she can learn from
comments to improve her skills and abilities in the teaching next time. Moreover, she kept ask me
about what she has to improve in next lesson and tell her that she has to think about management
strategy for the students for better classroom management and ask her to read her lesson plan with
an open mind to discover the things that need to improve. I’m glad that I can observe my classmate
and play a role to help her and improve her abilities in teaching. I feel that I’m a good teacher which
can change and help someone to be better and achieve the lesson objectives efficiency.
