Overall aim and context of the lesson

- Students will be able to identify these definitions (charity, sympathy, empathy and
generosity).
- Students will be able to discuss and develop communication skills.

Describe (D):
The lesson was about charity, sympathy, empathy, and generosity. I used a discussion strategy for
this lesson because I want to increase students speaking skills and I want each student to share
experiences and stories with others. I asked students to set in the carpet because of it more
comfortable for a discussion lesson. I explained to students about charity, sympathy, asked what
they learned from the lesson to check her understanding.
Analyze (A):
I think that students responded because I was talking with them to develop the interaction between
teacher and students. I also was talking in a clear voice that attracts their attention. However,
students were well organized and engaged during this lesson.
Appraise (A):

I think that I achieved the learning objectives because students were able to use their
communication skills and memorize the definitions of charity, sympathy, empathy, and generosity.
I also was well-prepared for the lesson because I prepared the lesson plan on time. However, I think
for the next lesson I will try to use more oral feedback as a reward for students to increase their
motivation because sometimes the teacher forgets about this point while she is teaching.
Transform (T):

I think that students could write paragraph an action that is related to their experiences about
sympathy or empathy because this will build their self-esteem when they start sharing their stories
with other class members. Writing also will develop their written language because the teacher will
check for the mistakes and correct it.
