Overall aim and context of the lesson

Identifying the locations of each type of hurricanes (hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones).

Describe (D):
The lesson about the extreme weather which hurricanes, so we have three different types of
hurricanes such as hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones. Each one occurs in different are in the
world. Students explore the main concept by themselves by watching the video with the
information about the lesson, they write what they find out in the sheet that the teacher gives it to
them. Then, the teacher discussed the results with them by asking them questions about it. After
that, teacher will show a PowerPoint explaining the specific countries that effect with these types
of hurricanes. Then, give them a small essay about each type of hurricane to extend their
knowledge.
Analyze (A):
In the explanation, I explained each types of hurricane and where it’s occurred, asking students
questions to check if they understand the main concept of the lesson or not. I think students were
engaged with me in whole lesson because they answered my questions with perfect answers that
explain all the details with involved in the lesson. I believe that let the students to discuss their
answers with their peers is effective strategy to let them communicate with each other and share
ideas about the lesson.
Appraise (A):
I think all the students were engaged in my lesson and did their work effectively. My goal was to
allow the students to explore what are the three types of hurricanes as they identified during the
lesson’s activities. Moreover, I think asking students questions about the lesson is very useful to
let them being to think and use their minds. Besides, they did well in the assessment at the end of
the lesson and I corrected all students paper and we had a discussion at the end to clear all
misconception of the lesson by asking me questions.
Transform (T):
In the future, I think provide more activities to engage the students in my lesson and use other
time management strategies to let me finished my lesson on time and don’t waste it.
