By using a metronome while students did rudiments and slowly increased speed to
facilitate better performance.

During the band music portion, she would hear mistakes (since there were only two of
them and one was playing clarinet).

She would repeat sections in the band music that she noticed they had stuggled with and
would do it at differing tempos.

During the rudiment portion, she would always play with them which may have made it
more difficult for her to notice things that needed improvement.

Repeat sections they struggled with on their own

What do students do that seems to hinder their learning in the classroom?

Try to avoid rudiments of sections of music that they found difficult.

What action(s) on the part of the teacher do you think would improve student learning in
this classroom?

Forcing students to face their fears in music so they can improve at a greater level.

What action(s) on the part of the students do you think would improve student learning in

Strive to be the best they can by critically listening to themselves.
