STRATIGRAPHIC ZONATION FOR THE CARBONATE DISTRIBUTION OF FIELD

E6-3, CYCLE V IN CENTRAL LUCONIA

Nurul Shazleen Husna Binti Saad, Siti Nur Fathiyah Binti Jamaludin

INTRODUCTION SCIENTIFIC APPROACH

Motivation Data
Central Luconia Province (Figure 1), offshore Sarawak is a Miocene subsurface carbonate • 231 thin sections from well E6-3
deposits that form productive hydrocarbon repositories. • 2D Seismic
• Well logs (Sonic Velocity, Gamma Ray)
The age control is mainly recorded based on the “Cycles” which shows the major events of
unconformities in this area. For consistent identification, it is necessary that the “Cycles”
are dated and correlated by biostratigraphy methods although they are recognised on the Methodology
basis of depositional environments (Ho, 1978).

Objective Petrography
To construct the stratigraphic zones for the depth range 2133.6 m based on biostratigraphy, • Biostratigraphy
lithostratigraphy, seismic and well data. • Age determination
• Lithostratigraphy
