Weekly Plans during Placement 7:

Week One

Main activities:

- Helping out around the classroom

- Getting to know the school, students, and staff

- Collecting information

Schedule for Week One activities:

Day 1 I spent the first day getting to know my MST, the students, staff, and classroom setting and

help out around the classroom.

Day 2 I helped out my MST and students and started to collect the necessary information.

Day 3 I continued collecting information/data and observing my MST, discussing necessities in

learning and teaching.

Day 4 Worked on decorations with students (Bird nest), to decorate the classroom for the new unit,

read the students “Dear, Zoo”

Day 5 - IN COLLEGE
Week Two

Main activities:

- Reading stories 3 times a week

- Helping out around the classroom

- Getting to know the school, students, and staff

- Collecting information

Schedule for Week Two activities:

Day 1 Colored school buses with students, helped students build a giant bus. Read the students

“Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” with activities.

Day 2 I Discussed my lesson and improving points with my MST and helped out around the

classroom.

Day 3 I read the students “Titch” instead of “Polar Bear” story, due to the level. I also helped the

MST around the classroom along with preparing the following days assembly.

Day 4 I helped paint the students’ faces for the assembly, and worked on the props. I read the

students “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.

Day 5 - IN COLLEGE
Week Three

Main activities:

- Fruit flashcards

- Stories

- Prepping for Jungle Party Day

- Helping with Jungle Party Day

- Frog hopping on lily pad (jungle party)

Schedule for Week Three activities:

Day 1 I played the students “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” video story, and asked them questions.

Day 2 Fruit/Health day, I helped the teacher keep the students sitting during the assembly

performances. I started to work on jungle party set up.

Day 3 I helped out around the classroom and worked on jungle party activities.

Day 4 Jungle party celebration, I was working in my station.

Day 5 - IN COLLEGE
Week Four

Main activities:

- Helping out around the classroom

- Getting to know the school, students, and staff

- Collecting information for PDP and action research (through observations)

- Helping out during the trip

Schedule for Week Four activities:

Day 1 I did the morning circle, along with setting up the classroom for my MST. I observed an

English lesson (Miss Hamda).

Day 2 Trip to Animal Welfare Center

Day 3 Principal came to observe the classroom.

Day 4 I worked with the students in the innovation table and worked on the students’ files at the end

of the day.

Day 5 - IN COLLEGE
Week Five

Main activities:

- Fire escape practice

- Peer Observation

- Formative assessment (big or small)

- Interview

- Trip (Flag Day)

Schedule for Week Five activities:

Day 1 Emergency Fire Escape Practice took place, and I taught an introduction to fruit lesson. I was

observed by my peer Jawaher.

Day 2 I helped my MST set up her lesson, observed my peer Mahra’s Jack and the Beanstalk puppet

storytelling lesson.

Day 3 I observed my peer Jawaher’ s fruit lesson. I taught the big and small lesson in the snack

room/cafeteria.

Day 4 I practiced the big and small lesson with the students and observed more lessons.

I interviewed my MST for the Action Research Project.

Day 5 We went on a trip to Etisalat for the students’ Flag day celebrative dances.
Week Six

Main activities:

- Observations (PDP and active research project)

- Reading stories

- Fruit lesson

Schedule for Week Six activities:

Day 1 I observed multiple classrooms to work on my action research plan.

I read the students the “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” storybook. I helped my MST prepare

the students for the assembly.

Day 2 The students performed in the assembly, I revised their previous fruits with a simple art

activity. My MST left for a half day to see the doctor.

Day 3 I taught them the fruits lesson with activities and was observed by my MCT.

Day 4 I taught them the “Handa’s Surprise” storybook with activities and was observed by my MCT.

I also read them “The Rainbow Fish” Storybook with activities.
