Comments: LOs are fairly specific (remembering and identifying) although do you want them to use the language? ‘Name’ the fruits as this was what they were doing in
your activity The activities reinforce the LO but all name/say the fruit. Check you have put the correct activity in the appropriate place on the LO e.g. paper bag activity is in
the small group guided experience section but this was done as a whole class in haleka. The group you are sitting with and assessing is listed as an independent activity but it
needs to be guided.
Student-centred activities were seen when Ss chose which fruit to create with clay. They could have chosen the fruit with the I pad activity too.

Comments: you have a nice manner with the Ss but try to be more be proactive with behavior management rather than waiting for behavior you do not want and reacting
to this. Saying I will only choose someone sitting quietly to come and choose the fruit. Reminding them to listen while sitting on the carpet. Nice to see them putting their
Teaching Practice Assessment Rubric Semester 7, 2018
thinking hats on. Telling them which activities they will be doing before leaving the carpet colour groups. Although you need to explain the card activity to all Ss as this is an
independent activity.
You were actively monitoring the Ss during activity time checking they were on task and engaging them in using the language..
Tidy up was quick and you praised those sitting on the carpet and telling them why ‘I like…”

Comments: Beginning with the ‘hello song’ doing the actions with them. I like the way you described the tangerine as the sister of the orange. Good to see you using real
fruits and describing them ‘rough’ ’smooth’. When showing the visuals of the fruit use a lower case letter for each one. Asking all Ss to name the fruit shown. Think about
how you can involve all Ss in the activity or do it in group work e.g. the rabbit activity as they were watching one Ss at a time they were restless, especially Hamdan.
Good to see you using the real fruit in the art activity (realia).Could you also have used this in the matching activity? You did put the other fruit and halves
for Ss to look at with magnifying glasses.
The language was reinforced throughout the lesson activities also further reinforced using the I pads to draw the fruit.
Teaching Practice Assessment Rubric Semester 7, 2018
Reviewed the learning with a predicting activity where Ss were using the language.

You now need to fully align the LOs/activities/assessment

Think of how can implement more differentiation
