Manage student’s behavior in the classroom.

I will try to implement some strategies to manage students behavior in classroom such as; Classroom
rules like give me five, model the good behavior and praise good behavior and Set verbal limits for
example; Ahmed you can’t do this to your friend, it’s not nice’.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

Teacher will:

On the carpet, I will explain to the children that we will read a story.

Before I start reading the story, I will ask the children some questions about the book:

- What do you see on the cover?

- What's the color of the bear?

- What do you think this story is about? What will happen?

Moreover, I will point out the title of the story and the author. After that I will say now we are going
to read this book and it is called ‘Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You hear?'

Students will:

Listen and participate with the teacher by answering her questions

Teacher will:

While I read the story to the students, I will stop to ask questions about what is happening in the
story, for example; ask about where the polar bear lives and the other animals, what it eats and what
does he look like? Moreover, I will let the students join in to say” Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do
You hear? ” every time that phrase is repeated. Also, I will invite them to use voices that sound like
the different animals on each page.

After reading, I will ask the students did you like the story? What did you see in the story? What
did the polar bear hear? What happened? .etc. (formative assessment) and I will talk about some of
the words in the story such as “bellowing,” “yelping,” and “trumpeting.” Explain that these are all
words that mean a loud kind of noise.

After that I will show the students some videos of animals making sounds, such as a flamingo fluting,
elephant trumpeting etc.

Teacher will:

Explain to the students that they will create their own story, by drawing the animal they like inside
the flip book.

Students will:

Create their own book or story, they will draw the animal they want to hear or like from the story
by using colours.

Teacher will:

Explain to the students that they will fill the animals with the coloured papers, by using the glue.

Students will:

Summarize the story, ask the students some questions to check their understanding for example;
What were some of the things that polar bear hear? , What did Brown Bear hear that was red, blue,
white, black, green, gold, yellow, etc. Formative Assessment). And finally show the students
work.
