KCC COACHES
TOM VANWIENEN Head Coach
This is Coach VanWienen’s fourth year as head coach. With close
to 500 HS wins, he is ranked one of the top 25 winningest high
school coaches in the state of Michigan. He has over 20 years
experience coaching AAU club volleyball at the local and national
level, winning the ASICS Junior Championship in 2012. Following
in the footsteps of collegiate Hall of Fame Bruin volleyball coaches
Mick Haley and John Knott, his goal is to return the Bruins to the
top ranks in the league.

Judy Mason Assistant Coach

Coach Mason has coached at all levels throughout her volleyball
coaching career; middle school, AAU club, and at the high
school level. Her goals include; inspiring discipline that respects
the game of volleyball and developing young athletes both
academically and athletically to succeed at their next level of play.

Brad Myers Assistant Coach

Coach Myers enters his fifteenth year as an assistant coach for the
Lady Bruins Volleyball team. Brad coached 8 years under NJCAA
Hall of Fame coach John Knott and returned to the Bruins as an
assistant 7 years ago. His experience in coaching and recruitment
of superior student-athletes makes him an important part of the
Bruins Volleyball team.

Ben Yarger Strength Trainer

A 1997 Battle Creek Central High School graduate who served
in the United States Coast Guard, Coach Yarger is KCC’s strength
coach and proprietor of NorthSide Strength and Conditioning.
Ben was runner-up in the 2016 ‘Battle of Bavaria’ Michigan
