The lesson was about vertical addition and the LO was (by the end of the lesson the students will
be able to solve vertical addition. Also, they will be able to change from horizontal addition to
vertical addition).

Describe (D):
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
In this lesson I want the students to know how to solve vertical addition. Also, I want the student
to know how to change from horizontal to vertical addition.
What did the students do?
The students was engage to know how to solve vertical addition, so I start to explain then I ask
some student to solve in front of the class. Then the students start to do the group activity and
individual activity.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
The students was very active and they were very excited to know how to solve vertical addition.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
The students were know the horizontal addition, so it explain it in easy way and I tell them that that
horizontal and vertical addition are same and they give the same answer.
How well did you engage the students?
The students engage the beginning which was the house picture (solve the question in the house
picture). Also, they engage the group activities.

Yes, I create challenging activity.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
I want to include technology, I want to give each student iPad to play math games.

I create challenging activities, and I create different activities depend on levels.
