IF the students work and talk more than me this mean that I achieve my goal and I make the class student

Math By the end of the lesson the students will know the
meaning of fact family. Also, they will be able to make 2
addition sentences and 2 subtraction sentence from 3
numbers.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)
First of all, I will tell them the title and the LO.
Then I will tell them the meaning of fact family and we have to use only 3 numbers.
Then I will show them the video and ask them what they understand from the video.
After that I will show them some examples, I will put the picture of the house in front of them (A3).
Then I will ask one student to throw the dice 3 times and write the three numbers in the circles.
Then I will start to explain that we will add the small number and the biggest number is the answer
then we have to switch the numbers and the answer will stay.
Then the subtraction, I will tell the students that we have to start with the biggest number. Then we
will choose another number and the last number will be the answer. For the second subtraction I will
tell them it is the same we will start with the biggest number and we will switch the other numbers.
I will show 2 to three example then I will ask 2 students to come in front of the class and do the fact
family.
Example: the dice show 2, 3, 5. (2+3=5) (3+2=5) (5-3=2) (5-2=3).
Moreover, I will use cubes to show them how to switch, I will use two colours. For example 2+1, I will

put 2 red cubes and one blue cubes and I will ask them to count and give me the answer.
The cubes is good idea for C level.

First activity (in groups)
There is 3 levels
High level (A): I will give them cards with questions in (envelopes). There is around 10 to 12 question
(one question in each card) each student will solve 2 question.
Middle level (B): I will give them spinner and cards. Each students should spin the spinner and copy
the numbers and do the fact family in the cards.

Low level (C ): I will give them one dice and 5 pictures of house. They will throw the dice and writ the
three numbers in the circles. Then they will add the number. I will give them the cubes to make it
easy for them.
Independent activity
High and middle will have the same worksheet. The low group will have a different worksheet depend on
their level.
