Lesson Plan

Personal Target
1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)

I need to work in effective discipline skills, while I am introducing the lesson some student talking, and
this makes another student upset, and when a student answer they say the answer loudly.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)

I will keep remember them about the behavior chart, and who talk while her friend talk, and give her
chance to think of the answer. I’ll take two stars from the chart. That will make them respect their
classmate.

3- Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)

All students take their time to think of the answer, and when I choose a student to answer, and while she
is talking, other students are quiet and listen to the answer if it is wrong to give her time to think again,
then choose another student to help her.

Active Engagement (group working with the teacher)

I will give them a small board, and they will do it as a group, I will put a division 25 ÷5 = on the
board, and they will write the answer and draw the question on their board and raise the board to
check their understanding.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1): Problems Solve

I will give the students in Princesses and Flowers group this worksheet because they like to solve
the words problem and thinking of the solution. This activity has three parts; first they will solve
the division questions, second, they will divide the flowers into two groups and the hearts into six
groups. Finally, four words problem questions, they can use the two-sided counters or drawing.

Groups

Students in two groups the Butterflies and Creatives, they like to do something with their hand
rather than writing. So, in this activity each group will have four cards, each card has a number,
and they will use a small clothespin to pick the equations with an answer of 8,12,6 and 10. When
they will finish they can ask for the answers cards.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3): Creating a division

This activity will be given to Stars and Pearls groups; this two group loves the creative things, so
they will read the questions, and they create the questions using the pictures and stick it in A3 foam
board.

For the closing I will retell the students what we have taken.
Time: 7 min
Closing

We will do a fun kinesthetic activity as a group each group chooses on a student to represents the
group, I will use puzzle carpet, and each piece has an answer like 6, 3, 1 and I will ask questions,
and they should jump to the answer.

Assessment

-Correct the activity, during activity time and use the name list.

- Giving words problem questions as a quiz and they will do it individually as Ticket out the door before
leaving the class.
