Design
The magneto-resistive proximity sensor is fitted on a plastic plate. The plate can be rotated in increments of 15°. The electrical connections
are inside a plastic housing. The electrical connection is made via safety sockets. The unit is mounted on the profile plate using the locking
system with the blue lever (mounting version "A").
Function
This non-contacting magnetic proximity sensor detects the magnetic field through changes in the resistance of the field. As a magnet
approaches, a bridge circuit generates a voltage without any contact. The change in voltage is evaluated in a trigger stage and converted into
an electronic switching signal.
The proximity sensor has a PNP output, i.e. the signal line is connected to the positive potential when switched. The switch is designed as a
N/O contact. The load is connected between the proximity sensor signal output and ground. The area that is sensitive to the magnetic field is
indicated by a blue dot on the black plastic housing. A yellow LED indicates the switching status.
