Hunt for Chords, Keys, and Scale Patterns

This is the clue sheet for the scavenger hunt. Please use this as your worksheet and
mark up this document to scan and upload as your follow-up assignment. We’ll
work through similar examples in class.
HINT: First, establish the key in which you are working first. Next, expect the
chords within that key. Then look for those chords. E.g., a supertonic chord in G is a.

A. Name the single chord in each example. Describe how the triad is expressed,
both melodically and harmonically.
