- write a short paragraph using conditionals

ORGANIZATION OF THE CLASS: pair- work, individual work, group work


1. ACTIVITY ONE – Conversation – 5 minutes

- organization of the class ( the attendance of the pupils)

- checking homework.

2. ACTIVITY TWO – VOTE FOR ME – 20 minutes

The T splits the class in groups of 4/5 ss telling them they are going to represent THE IDEAL
SCHOOL PARTY. Each party chooses its candidate to be elected and together prepare his/her
speech . Some guidelines are given ( see annex 1).

Each group comes in front of the class. While their candidates are presenting their speeches, the
other members of the group take notes in order to write a news report for the most famous
newspaper in town. The most convincing candidate is voted by the whole class.

3 ACTIVITY THREE –controlled practice -10 minutes

The teacher plays a PowerPoint presentation of the indirect speech.

In groups, ss report the statements, questions and commands from the ppt the teacher projects on
the whiteboard. Each exercise is checked and rules are revised.

4. ACTIVITY FOUR : -writing- 15 minutes

In groups, students are asked to write the news report for the most famous newspaper in town.
Each group will assign a spokesperson who will read the news report .

5. ACTIVITY FIVE– feedback and homework assignment -5 minutes.

The teacher will mark the students who gave answers during the class.

For homework assignment, the teacher will ask the students to report the conversation they had
with their mothers that morning.
