TOPIC : Smart agriculture based IoT

In many country people depends upon farming. Smart Agriculture is

one of the solution to this problem. To highlighting features of this
project includes water management, weather forecasting, canal
controlling in both automatic and manual modes and all these data are
stored and displayed in a mobile application. The alert SMS and
notification is send to the user based on the fixed criteria. By Controlling
all these operations by an mobile which is connected to internet and It
will provide better performed by interfacing sensors, Wireless Fidelity
etc.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

Agriculture is considered as the basis of life for the human species as it

is the main source of food grains and other raw materials. It plays vital
role in the growth of country’s economy. In many countries the most
important sector of economy is agriculture and it remains the largest
employer in the country by far. Farmers are struggling and work hard to
produce the crops and if we can not utilize or consume it fully, all the
work of farmers will go into vain. It is argued that one of the
contentious issues around the world is how to mitigate the impact of
climate change. However, the question is how developing countries can
practice agriculture in order to, increase productivity especially in the
areas where the world is affected by global warming due to change in
weather patterns .Unfortunately, many farmers still use the traditional
methods of farming which results in low yielding of crops and fruits.The
reason why there is need to implement modern science and technology
in the agriculture sector for increasing the yield.
So, in order to provide solutions to all such problems, it is necessary to
develop integrated system which will take care of all factors affecting
the productivity in every stages like; cultivation, harvesting and post
harvesting storage. There fore proposes a system which is useful in
monitoring the field data as well as controlling the field operations
which provides the flexibility

SUB PROBLEM
. Monitoring environmental factors is not enough and complete solution
to improve the yield of the crops.
. There are number of other factors that affect the productivity to great
extent
. It has always been hard for a common man to adopt something
different from the traditional method.
. Most people from the ruler areas are associated with the farming and
are not much educated and independent in technological advancement
. The factors include attack of insects and pests which can be controlled
by spraying the crop with proper insecticide and pesticides
. attack of wild animals and birds when the crop grows up
. There is also possibility of thefts when crop is at the stage of harvesting
.Even after harvesting, farmers also face problems in storage of
harvested crop.
. , many farmers still use the traditional method for storing their crops

. agricultural product on cold storage also rotten due to lacking of proper

monitoring and controlling in the cold storage
. Due to high temperature, these products lose their weight gradually and
ultimately get shriveled, rotten or sprouted.

. Here room temperature, humidity, moisture and light intensity is not maintained
properly
