Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a very complex structure that carries our genetic
information. DNA is a double helix structure that is composed of base pairs (A, T, C, G), sugars,
and phosphates. Although, in today’s society, this scientific knowledge is now considered
common knowledge, less than one-hundred years ago these concepts were unknown. There were
seven main individuals that contributed to the discoveries of the DNA structure. The Nobel Prize
of ____________ for _____________ should have gone to James Watson, Francis Crick, and
Maurice Wilkins due to their vast discoveries that contributed to the complete construction of
Deoxyribonucleic acid.
Due to their vast discoveries that contributed to the complete construction of DNA, I believe that
James Watson, Francis Crick, and Maurice Wilkins should have won the Nobel Prize.
