ZARA: Women fall 2018 campaign-


This campaign has an Orthodox feel to it, it
is shockingly modest.

The collection features a lot of earthy


brown tones, bold jewels, belts and shoes
with a link of old Eastern clothing.

I think the
campaign is most likely trying to cater to
its Muslim consumers (across 94 countries)
with the international market increasingly
growing.

BACKLASH- Muslim women, in particular,


are frustrated that the headscarf (high
resemblance to hijab) is used as a material
garment.

RIVER ISLAND: Launched on Next


River Island has recently launched online with Next. This is a very interesting
partnership and will attract a different consumer base for both brands.
Bringing young, trendy fashion conscious with a more middle-class audience
who are interested in mainstream fashion.

Zara SRPLS explores the appropriation of military inspired clothing into an everyday
d r e s s i n g , t h a t ’s m a d e i t a f o u n d a t i o n f o r h o w p e o p l e d r e s s t o d a y. I n s p i r e d b y m u s i c i a n s ,
actors and activists, khaki and uniform pieces have been part of the visual language of
rebellion culture, as well as a canvas for individual style.

H&M | CONSCIOUS EXCLUSIVE


H&M Conscious Exclusive A/W18 merges the life and journey of lost historical artefacts
with the latest in sustainable fabric innovation. Recycled cashmere and velvet made
from recycled polyester make their debut in a collection that has dramatic yet romantic
silhouettes with a modern edge.
