1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)

Through my last teaching practicum, I found after my MST and MCT evaluate me. They mention that
I need to work on doing time management through doing the activities in a centre area.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
To achieve this goal, I will follow the steps of strategies to avoid this goal and achieved.
First, I will prepare agog planning tools. Second, get organized the activity that fits with time of the
activity. Thirdly, using the timer while children doing the activity.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)

I can tell that I achieved my goal through teaching when I received the evaluation from my MST and
MCT Feedback after the lesson.

By the end of the lesson the children will be able to:
Kg 1-2 Open day (flag day).
- Identify the flag for United Arab Emirates.
- Identify how many colour of UAE flag.
- Identify the meaning of each colour.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

We start with children about the national anthem.


Then, we show them the UAE flag and say the order colour of the UAE flag.
We describe to children the meaning of each colour of the UAE flag.
Make some competition about UAE, and what did they know about Flag Day.
For example, who is the ruler of UAE?
Time: 15 min

How many emirates we have in the UAE?


Then, we give them a gift for children who say the answer correctly.

After that, we divide children into different centers and explain to them what they will do.
Active Engagement (group working with the teacher)

Name of the activity: Create a UAE flag in Kalifa tower.

- Provide to children the big poster include the image of Kalifa tower by providing to
them the glue and different color of UAE flag.
- The children will take those color paper and create the UAE flag inside the big poster
that includes Khalifa tower.
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Name of the activity: Face painting.

- We will provide one table with chairs to children to sit. And two teachers training. Those two
teachers training they will take each child and draw the UAE flag in their children face in one side
and for next side of their face will draw a hart and write the I love UAE.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)

Name of the activity: a fingerprint.

- We will provide for children the image of UAE flag and they will print their finger inside the
image by using the color of UAE flag.
Time: 15 min

Independent Experience(small group activity 3)

Name of the activity: colour UAE flag.


Small

- We gather some children from one class and give them the brush and color painting
Then, we require from children to take those colour (red, green, white and black) to start
painting in write place. As the order colour of UAE flag.

- Review with children what they did in the activities.


By Ask children question about what you know about UAE.

-Such as how many colour of UAE flag.

- Ask them what they feel about this day. (Flag day).
