Kindergarten
After completing this lesson, students will be able to explain
single-digit math. Students will be able to construct a single digit
math problem. Students will be able to analyze an word problem
using single-digit math.
Students will watch an introductory video titled "Add Em' Up" on
livebinder.
Day 1-Students will watch a prezi and a video to get started solving
single-digit addition math problems. They will do problems with
pictures to help them add single digit math problems on the
SmartBoard. They will be able to explain math problems by the end
of the lesson.
Day 2-I will start by showing the students a wordsift picture of
addition. We will talk a little about the words that stand out.
Students will be able to construct a single digit math problem usings
math manipulatives. Such as counters, fingers, etc. By the end of the
lesson students will be able to show addition problems with
manipulatives.
Day 3- Students will be able to analyze word problems using single
digit math. We will start with solving regular single digit math
problems, and then start word problems. Students will use
manipulatives to solve word problems. Such as Sadie had 3 apples,
and Zack has 4 apples. How many do they have all together? By the
end of the lesson students will be able to solve word problems.
After the lesson the students will use Kahoot! to solve different
types of single-digit math problem.

​Parent Envolvement: I will use Facebook as communication between the parents and I. I created a group to keep the
parents in the loop about what their children have been doing throughout the day. I will also use it as a tool to upload
homework and class assignments.
