I will ask the students to stand up for the hello song, we will sing and dance.
I will greet the students, they will greet me back, followed by a brief how are you today.
10-15 minutes
Whole Time:
I will first start off the lesson by asking the students if they remember any fruits, they will start
guessing. I will then introduce the story, Handa’s Surprise. As I read the story I will ask them
questions about the story. After I finish the story I will ask if anyone wants to retell the story from
what they remember. I will help/guide them if needed.
I will model the activities and ask each group (by color) to go to an activity. Ex; red group I want
you to go to the yellow table and work on the printing activity.
Students will be given cutouts of the fruits used in the story, they must work together to glue the
fruits into Handa’s basket.
10-20 minutes
I will assess them by asking them what fruit they found and it’s color.
