Re: BES Proposal Memo

Purpose:
The purpose of this report is to provide information on a more cost-effective and efficient CCTV
alternative. This BES Camera alternative allows for more sophisticated security surveillance to
protect and monitor either your home or business.

Introduction:
Big Easy Security (BES) Cameras is one of the first companies to build quality DIY cameras that
allow users to take their security into their own hands. These weatherproof HD cameras are
highly durable and offer a cost-effective way to maintain video surveillance of your home or
business. Unlike conventional CCTV security systems, BES doesn't require a monitor or display
screen to show video. BES Cameras allow you to access your video using your cell phone,
tablet, or pc remotely from any location. Despite being more cost-effective and efficient in
maintaining surveillance, many companies still believe in paying for a security service to monitor
their business.

Proposed Tasks:
The group is researching the importance of high-quality video surveillance called the “Big Easy
Security system.” The two primary sources of references will be “The Admissibility of CCTV
Evidence in Criminal Proceedings” and the interview with officer Bermejo #4603. Both primary
sources should give us a well-rounded picture of the purpose of a high-quality security system
and its function to surveillance. Preliminary research from officer Bermejo indicates that a
better-quality security system will lead to better crime deterrence and criminal apprehension.

Experience:
Tristan Swanson: Computer Engineering
As a computer engineer, it is essential to be able to evaluate different security measures
relating to the systems. This understanding of security measures is what qualifies Tristan to
discuss the practicability and drawbacks of CCTV cameras. Also, as the owner of the product
himself, his knowledge and insight into BES cameras are most valuable.

Danielle Hansen: Architectural Engineering

When designing buildings or structures, it is essential to also look at the security put into these
buildings and structures. This knowledge of different layouts makes Danielle invaluable when it
comes to choosing locations for cameras and how best to arrange sightlines. Also, as an owner
of another camera brand, she can draw comparisons between BES cameras and other brands
on the market.

Jasmin Mustafic: Logistics and Supply Chain Management

As a logistics and supply chain manager, it is essential to keep an eye on not only the product
but also the workers to make sure that everyone is adhering to the rules and performing their
job adequately. Jasmin often relies on cameras to settle disputes as well as the advancements
in technology to help him move his business forward at a constant pace. He also has
experience with having his personal information stolen and relied heavily on CCTV footage to

resolve the matter as well as convict the criminal in question. Jasmin is a prime example of how
cameras help us in our daily lives as well as protect us from undesirables.
