CURRENT JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conceptualizing of various types of furnaces like vacuum heat treatment furnaces, vacuum
arc melting and suction casting furnaces, hot press of various tonnage capacities, CVD
systems etc.,
Evaluating the manufacturing and assembly processes by using observation and data driven
research. Confers with individual operators as required to acquire needed information.
Appling knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials.
Developing manufacturing and assembly processes by reviewing product requirements.
Determining manufacturing methods and equipment.
Improving manufacturing and assembly efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space
requirements and equipment layout.
Quality Control inspections for all products as per the specifications and requirements.
Preparing technical specifications of various equipments as per customer requirement.
Initial design conceptualizing, cost analysis and optimization.
Thermal calculations of the furnace and selecting of control instrumentation.

PROJECT HANDELED:

1. Successfully developed a conceptual design for TEST RIG (Test Bench-Facility) for the
functional simulation of safety valve 3369-39 of SU-30 MKI aircraft for HAL – Nashik.
This project includes DFMEA, space science theory, high pressure vessels & components,
chiller unit calculations and mechanical estimations for the system reliability of functioning.
 2. Optimization techniques for Hydro and Electrometallurgical processes for extraction of
metal-ions from secondary resource using Dohlert Design (DoE) at CSIR- IMMT,
BHUBANESWAR.
This project includes process development by introducing Design of Experiments (DoE), Six
Sigma concepts, Process parameters Optimization, Optimization Strategies, Stochastic
Modeling and use of Statistical tools for data analysis and to develop an empirical formula.
3. A project on Effect of Helium Gas Cooling on the macrostructure of Super Alloy Ni
718(INCONEL) grade through vaccum arc re-melting process :
This project mainly deals with effect of Helium gas cooling on macrostructure of Ni 718 in
vacuum arc remelting furnace at Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited. The difference in the
vaccum cooling and helium cooling of a job is observed and effect of helium cooling on yield
strength is determined.

SKILL SET:
Software skills: MS Office, Excel, MS Outlook, C language and MATLAB.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Six sigma, Design of Experiment (DOE), Vacuum technology, Furnace Technology, Reliability
estimations, Thermal calculation and transformer estimations, FMEA, Process optimization,
Statistics quality control tools and its usage, knowledge of Extractive metallurgy and Mechanical
metallurgy.
