7/13/17 Spent time training our new teacher/coach on staff on how to use the 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 3a, 3b, 3c
ActiveBoards in the facility, and how to integrate video playback
software and the ActiveBoard together, which he had never used
before. Also, went over how to use a software for film integration
into our particular sport, as well as explaining the Engaged Learning
Indicators and LoTi levels while helping him to integrate engaging
and authentic technology skills into lesson plans that he had already
created.

Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?
During this field experience I learned a good bit about how to communicate technical terminology to a peer. I really realized that even with this being my
first semester in the field my vocabulary and comfort level with the terminology is much higher than the person simply coming in, and I didn’t even realize
it. I also realized that I really enjoy helping other peers learn how to use and implement technology in order to make their classroom into a better learning
experience.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge -
This field experience gave me a chance to dive deeper into the ActiveBoard technology and learn how to troubleshoot it much more effectively.

Skills -
The skill that I acquired through this experience was one of being able to take a technology tool and teach a fellow peer how to use it at a basic level as well
as how to troubleshoot, implement with students, and learn how to take the tool and apply it with student directed activities.

Dispositions -

This experience opened my eyes to the possibility of myself being able to be much more effective at taking technology and being able to have a very
positive attitude and explaining in detail to a peer on how to use the technology properly. I have in the past had a problem with patience, but through this
experience I was able to work on becoming more patient and helping others.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

This field experience impacted faculty development, through giving a teacher unfamiliar with a technology tool the ability to have hands on learning and
training from a peer in order to explore the tool for greater learning. This could be assessed through comparing this teacher's effectiveness and ease of use
with an ActiveBoard as opposed to others that do not have a so called ‘trial’ experience from a peer.
