Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Students will do the Kahoot! in groups, so if one student for whatever
reason is unable to use the ipad to input their answers they will be able to have help from another student.
Kahoot! Is easy for students to use and is friendly for all students.
Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity.
Before the activity begins, I will address the rules of using technology to make sure that all of the students
are careful while using the technology and since the students will be working in groups I will address that
each of the students are sharing the iPad and it will be passed to another student for each question. This
activity will be introduced with a teacher example before the students take control of the iPads so each
student knows how to use the iPads to input answers on Kahoot!
Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
☒ Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) ☒ To illuminate common
misconceptions ☒ Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) ☒ Summative assessment of content knowledge ☒ Test preparation
☐ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):

Student Response and Assessment Tools
The teacher will set up the quiz, put the code to get in on the screen, instruct the students on how to get to
the Kahoot! Website, and click to the next question at the end of each question. The student will work in a
group with peers using the iPad to solve the problems that are put on the screen. At the end of each question,
the students will pass the iPad to the next student in their group to ensure everyone gets an even chance to
answer the questions on the iPad.
If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):
Reflective Practice:
This lesson is used as an assessment to see where the students are at with the concept of double digit
subtraction. I feel that this will help students know where they are at as well as help me as the teacher know
where my students are at and what I need to do from there. This lesson would be extended by a continuation
of work in the field of double-digit subtraction. Somewhere down the line, I could even let my students use
Kahoot! To create their own quizzes for their classmates! Next time we use Kahoot! In the classroom, I could
allow the students to create the quizzes instead of me.
