F as in front, M as in middle, and B as in back, there seem to be tendency of seating X GPA relation
Q2. Produce summary statistics for each of the Seating positions. Comment on any findings.
Q3. The following questions are for the hypotheses for this test.
a) (10 points) Indicate the null and alternative hypotheses for this test using mathematical
notation.
b) b) (10 points) Indicate the null and alternative hypotheses for this test with words in the
context of the problem.
Ha: there is at least one differences of seating position in between seating positions
Q4. What are the assumptions to conduct this test? Using Minitab, verify if the assumptions of this test
are satisfied.
1) each categories have normal distribution – each categories(f,m,b) has more than 30 samples
According to the result of Analysis of Variance, the null hypothesis states that the mean
gpa of 3 different seating positions are equal. Because the p-value is less than 0.0000,
which is less than the significance level of 0.05, we can reject the null hypothesis and
conclude that some of the seating positions have different mean of GPAs.
Q7. If the null hypothesis was rejected above, conduct any further steps necessary to find any additional
information about the mean GPAs for the seating positions.
After confirming the mean differences of GPA by their seating, we can conduct further
analysis to find where the differences. Result of Tukey analysis we can see all of F, M, B is
different from one another in terms of its mean GPA.
