Making the most of your donations

ATRA appreciates each and every dollar you donate to our rescue organi-
zation. In this tough economic climate, we have reviewed many of our
procedures in an effort to best utilize every dollar we receive so it bene-
fits the Airedales directly. In the past, we mailed out thank you letters to
every donator at the end of the month. With increased postal rates we
have put a new procedure in place that will save ATRA over $540 annu-
ally, money that can be better utilized for the care of our Airedales. We
will be sending out a yearly statement in the month of December to any-
one who has donated during 2010. We will, of course, continue to
acknowledge any contribution in our monthly newsletter. We would also
be happy to acknowledge a donation via email if we have your email
address.

Update: Winston
What a transformation Winston has gone through since Steve Dahlke of
Wisconsin adopted him. Winston, 5, lived with an older couple and a
small dog-friend. The man of the house ended up in a nursing home. The
lady loved Winston dearly but could not walk him and he had a very
small yard with electronic fencing. Winston was petrified of being
zapped so he got little or no exercise. Congratulations to Steve and
Winston. They walk
every day and Winston
loves to play with other
dogs and has a tremen-
dous amount of energy
now.
