SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS/GUARANTEE/WARRANTY.

I. SOLAR PV MODULE:
General requirements for PV module:
a. Module shall be made up of multi crystalline silicon cells.
b. The interconnected cells shall be laminated in vacuum to withstand adverse
environmental conditions
c. The module frame is made of corrosion resistant materials, preferably having
aluminium anodized finish
d. The minimum clearance between the lower edge of the modules and the developed
ground level shall be 400 mm.
e. Surge arresting device to be provide at junction box and module shall be provided
with bypass diode.
f. The SPV module must be IEC 61215 edition II /BIS 14286 and IEC 61730 Part I and
Part II certified from accredited certifying agencies.
g. Each solar PV module shall be warranted by the manufacturer for at least 90% of its
rated power after initial 10 years and 80% of its rated power after 25 years from the
completion of the trial run
TEST REPORT OF SOLAR PV MODULE:
The bidder shall upload test certificates issued from NABL/MNRE/IECQ accredited test
laboratories stating conformation of the PV modules as per IEC 61215 /BIS 14286 and
IEC 61730 Part I and Part II. The bidder has to supply the modules of same make,
specifications and standard brand for which test reports submitted.

I I . I N V E RT E R :
(a) Contractor should ensure that the Inverter supplied shall conform and perform
as per MNRE requirements/specifications.

(0) TEST REPORT OF INVERTER: The bidder must upload valid test
certificate of Inverter issued by NABL/IECQ/MNRE accredited/ Specified test
laboratories for the model offered conforming to relevant IS/IEC .

III. BATTERY:
Battery shall be of reputed Make and of low maintenance , deep cycle, designed for
solar lighting application of suitable capacity(AH) and of Minimum Five year
manufacturing warranty .
Note: All the enclosures shall be certified with IP 65 or more.

IV. LED based garden lights shall be of reputed Make .

V. INSTALLATION, COMMISSIONING, TRAINING AND DOCUMENTATIONS


Contractor shall under take installation & commissioning and provide training to
buyer's maintenance team. Party has to submit all the relevant documents like
Qualification Documents, Test Certificates, Catalogue of all Brought out Items, User
Manual, Electrical Circuit Diagram, Guarantee Certificates etc. during handing over
of the Project/System.

VI. GUARANTEE/WARRANTY :

i. The entire Solar Based Garden Lighting(LED) system will be warranted for a period of
five years from the date of commissioning & handover.

0. The PV module(s) will be warranted for a minimum period of 25 years from the date of supply.
The PV modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than
90% at the end of Ten (10) years and 80% at the end of Twenty five (25) years.

i. The Warranty Card to be supplied with the system must contain the details of the system.

ii. The scope of works also includes repairing / replacement of parts, free of cost within a period
of first 5 years, to make the system functional whenever a complaint is lodged by user. The
contractor shall attend the same within 7 working days.

iii. All the components / materials to be used in the system shall be of best of its kind and ISI
mark wherever applicable .

vi.No part payment shall be made. Payment shall be made after completion of work.
Retention money of 5% shall be deducted.

vii. The Defect Liability period in this case shall be one year after successful completion of
the work.

Note : In case of contradiction in meaning/interpretation anywhere in bid document,


Clause of Special Terms and Conditions supercedes corresponding clause of GTC .
