extremely pleased to be present here at the 3rd Convocation of CMR University. In all the
institutions I run under the Dharmasthala Group, we give special importance on the
understanding of Indian ethos and values, along with excellence in conceptual understanding.
Modern practices and use of technology should be welcomed as great facilitators of learning
but these should not come about at the expense of core Indian values-integrity, reverence,
gratitude and social responsibility. Things have changed in the last ten years and we have come
to the realisation that whatever orientation is provided should be coupled with practical
corporate experience. The time has come not only to start a school of Law, Commerce, but also
a school of Vedic Sciences where they teach various aspects of Philosophy and Astrology. There
has been a tremendous change in the city with respect to opportunities we have in India today.
We didn’t have even 5% of the present opportunities about 50 years ago, when I studied here.”
