Technical requirements in construction of jointing:

+ Concrete surfaces must be clean, solid, none grease, dust and other impurities. Metal
surfaces (iron, steel) must be free of scale, grease or oil. Surfaces Water absorption must be
completely saturated, but not to stagnate.

+ When mixing grout, it should be slowly added to the pre-dosed water to achieve the desired
consistency. Mix with a low speed mixer with a mixing disc...

+ When pouring the mortar into the substrate must keep the flow of mortar without
interruption

+ Formwork must be secure and watertight.

8.3 Requirements for welding steel sheets link

9. MATERIAL HANDING, STORAGE AND DELIVERY

9.1 Site plan

All materials delivery plan and storage location have to follow daily plan approved by KVN
engineers that needed to coordinate every day in site daily meeting.

9.2 Transportation of components

10. PREPARATION WORKS

- All components content all Factory QA-QC documents.

- All components have to marking center lines every face of them before installation.

- Site works have to use all approved drawing.

- Cast-in-situ structure need to marking center line and inspection level and location.

11. CONSTRUCTION METHOD

11.1 General Sequence


- Before lifting:

+ Clean all components by water and clean cloths only.

+ Check type of components make sure get the right structure by: Name, tag, number.

+ Check the position and tolerances.

+ Installation of scaffolds following approved design.

+ Check location of machines and safety matters.

- When hooking and lifting have to check:

+ If steel cables are used, cushions should be placed to avoid damaging the concrete, and
protect the cable.

+ When lifting, the middle clamping mechanism must be used to ensure the distribution of
load on the structure.

+ Cable must comply with standards and have a special structure to remove the hook.

+ The use of installed structures for linking to other lifting devices must following
approved design.

+ Do not drag the components

+ Remove the crane hook after: fixed temporary bracing system or temporary connection
that approved by engineers and surveyors.

+ Before jointing, check the position of the components following design.

+ Care should be taken in the assembly process to prevent damage. Damaged components
must be replaced or repaired following KVN instruction.

+ Engineers and surveyors have to monitor workers to minimize the tolerance of location
as well as level at connection.

+ The assembly of the secondary components shall be carried out after the joints of the
lower load-bearing structures reached strength or finished temporary connection.

+ The assembly of components and installation of equipment following coordinated


drawings.

-Install cang type 2 at two locations on pc column and install cable + turnbuckle
-Setting up lifting system and hook up column

-Using the 80T crane to raise the column slowly upward and move the column to position.

- Column braced by 8 cables following design, local load is 5 tons in 4 directions. After pc
column is installed, connect bracing cables into counterweight, tight turnbuckle to adjust pc
column verticality.

-After bracing cables fixed and location inspected, remove crane’s hook.

c. Detailed sequence

- Checking measurement, centerline, elevation, beam installation, cable

- Welding wedge steel plate connect to embed steel plate of corbel (weld 1a, weld 1b)

- Place steel plate under scaffolding. Install scaffolding (using Pal scaffolding) to designed position. Welding scaffolding in to steel
plate. Use I200 bars to support under beam, adjust the height of the bar I200 to bottom beam level.

- Beams placed near column refer to beam stock plan.

- Crane is lifting and erecting beam into position, in-process erecting use two ropes to
adjusting beam. When adjusting beam into corbel, use wooden shim (~3cm) to keep the gap
between the column–beam.

- Fixing accurately center line, elevation


- Weld wedge steel plate to connect embed steel plate of beam (weld 2a, weld 2b).

- Remove crane cable and move to next beam.

- Grouting team will conduct cleaning, form fitting and grouting structure’s joints.

- Fill joints of column-beam by Sika grout 214-11

13. HEALTH & SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT


a. Arrangement of components on the site
- By detailed stock plan onsite approved daily by KVN.
- High of a component’s package:
+ The floor is arranged from 10 to 12 layers but not exceeding 2.5m
+ Beams and columns don’t allow put on each other.
+ Between the layers supported with wood bars: 60 x 60mm or 100 x 100mm.
+ The components layers between must be maximum distance of 0.5 meter.
b. Precautions for accidents or occupational accident when using crane assemblies
- Crane assembly must meet the requirements for assembly of components in terms of weight,
dimensions (length, width and height), location of installation on the building (elevation,
mold installation set and distance from the installation position of the structure to the crane).
- In all cases, the crane must not be mounted with a weight greater than the load of the crane at
the corresponding reach.
c. Precautions crashed when hanging components
- Slipping, breaking or fall hazard, may cause accidents.
- Rigging steel cables Diameter have to following design.
- Shackle must tighten following KVN specs.
- Cables and all lifting devices must be checked before rigging.
- Hanging position must be follow designed location.
d. Prevention accidents when moving components
-When crane have to turn to other direction, the bottom of structure must be raised 0,5m
higher than highest top of all other structures.
- Use 2 wind lines to control rotation of lifting structures.
- Never to Lift and move.
- Absolutely forbid people to climb or sitting, standing on structures.
- During the installation crane components, the hazardous area must be barricaded. Prohibit
the person standing underneath the assembly, as well as in the moving area by crane.

e. Prevent material falling hazard during installation


- To prevent falling down, while adjusted and fixed (temporary or permanent) components in
place, remove the hook of the crane out of components after they has been fixed firmly and
inspected.
- Once the components have been removed from the hook, no further movement is allowed. If
you need to move the location of the installed components must be hung on the hook of the
crane, the crane lifted and adjusted when components are hanging on hook.
-In order to temporarily place the components in place, must be follow temporary joint design
approved.
f. Prevent falling from high
-To prevent workers from falling down when installation, must separate working zone with
life line and flag, use safety belt to hook on right place.
-When climbing up or down, must following plan and approved location or equipment.
-When working at high, labor must be equipped with personal protective equipment: safety
belts, shoes and safety helmets…
-In the assembly process: don’t work without technical engineers, safety engineers.
-Crane installation must consider and have approved plan at night time.
- Lifting work must stop if wind is too strong following TCVN.
