II. LEARNING SESSION DESCRIPTION

II.1. Learning objectives of the level: Al finalizar el curso el estudiante expresa su capacidad para
utilizar el idioma inglés en interacciones cotidianas, utilizando apropiadamente los saberes
esenciales del curso demostrando un nivel pre intermedio del idioma. El curso busca desarrollar
en los estudiantes las 4 habilidades (comprensión y producción tanto escrita como oral) y la base
lingüística que se requiere para el manejo del idioma inglés en situaciones cotidianas.

II.2. Learning objectives of the unit: Al finalizar la unidad, el estudiante demuestra su capacidad de
describir hábitos alimenticios usando contenedores y cuantificadores, utilizar “too”, “too much”
“too many”, “enough” para hablar acerca de comida, usar “I`m fine” para rechazar invitaciones
de forma educada y elaborar un texto sobre un plato de su país.

II.3. Learning objectives of the session: Al finalizar la sesión, el estudiante responde a sugerencias
permitiendo a otra persona y rechazando ofrecimientos de una manera educada con expresiones
como: No, thanks. I’m fine; y lee un artículo acerca de los snacks alrededor del mundo y escribe
sobre de dónde proviene uno de los platos escogido, manteniendo la entonación y pronunciación
correcta.

At the end of the session, the student responds to suggestions by letting the other person
decide, and refuses offers politely with expressions like No, thanks. I’m fine; and reads
about snacks around the world and writes about a dish from his / her country, keeping the
intonation and pronunciation in a right way.

I. LEARNING SEQUENCE

S’ observes some pictures and describes what he / she knows by saying


them in front of the class.

INTEREST S’ looks a PPT and in groups describes what they have and need for a
celebration.
S’ participates in groups by saying their lists. (cognitive conflict)
S’ reads the goals of the class.

S’ says what he / she usually offers his / her visitors at home.


S’ listens to an audio about what one person offers and what her friend
DISCOVERING answers.
S’ listens a second time to identify particular expressions in order we can
let the other person decides.
S’ works in pairs by responding to some questions given in the books.

S’ sees a chart containing polite refusals and completes a short
conversation using them.
S’ listens another people talking about food and drink and numbers some
pictures, to check in pairs.
S’ says what kind of snacks he / she knows and makes a list.
S’ reads an article about snacks around the world to say then if he / she
tried them.
S’ completes a chart with the required information from the article
individually and checks in pairs.
S’ receives feedback from the teacher.

S’ works with another listening to complete some information and checks


in pairs.
S’ works on a writing to describe about a popular snack in his / her
EXPERIENCE
country individually, by seeing the help note to use some words as
examples.
S’ exchanges his / her description to other classmates and
