The software of the offered product possibly includes open source software and Telefax +49 351 28278-662
third party software under royalty free licenses (“OSS”). As far as OSS is www.boschpackaging.com
included, it will be indicated in an ANNEX OSS – to the extent known at the
time of its provision. However, the ANNEX OSS will be updated according to
the changes possibly necessitated by development of the product. A complete
list of all used OSS, depending on the development status of the offered
product, is available on request and additionally will be provided upon
completion of the product.
The OSS itself does not contribute to the sales price of the Bosch product and
thus is provided without royalty or monetary compensation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in this quotation, this quotation does not
include any service or support by Bosch to you regarding the fulfillment of your
obligations resulting from OSS-Licenses; any such service or support requires
a separate agreement specifying such service or support and providing for a
reasonable fee.

Basic requirements for the use of PA machines, lines and systems
The PA machines, lines and systems
are not intended for direct or unprotected connection to the Internet.
are designed to be operated in the customer network whose IT security level
(according to IEC62443) is to be defined by the operator. Bosch machines,
lines and systems are designed for operation in SL-T 1 environments.
may only be operated and maintained by operating personnel who have been
instructed regarding IT security guidelines of the operator.
should be installed and operated in an access-controlled area, in accordance
with the IT security guidelines of the operator (i.e. not accessible to the public).
must be operated with the installed network architecture and the installed
network components. Subsequent changes or installation of additional
components are not permitted or must be arranged in advance with Bosch.
Recommendations/best practices to improve IT security:
Installation of a Backup/Recovery process with appropriate cyclic data backup
for disaster recovery (Clear defined processes and procedures for restoring
the original state, backup/restore processes, cyclical backup of programs,
data AND settings.).
Reduction of the visibility of all network components in the operator’s network
to the necessary minimum.
Segmentation of the production network and separation of the production
network from the office network.
DHCP servers shall be set up and operated only by network administrators of
the operators.
The operator should use MAC filters to authorize only valid MAC addresses
(e.g. for WLAN access points).
For Remote Service the operator should use only the Bosch Remote Service
solution.
The operator should replace all default passwords or/and delete not required
default users.
In case of service:
- The operator must ensure that the own or external service personnel with
access to the machine are instructed in accordance with the IT security
guidelines of the operator.
