Philosofically speaking , in the case if a person´s

memories would be erased and saying if he or she is the
same person or a new one, people can agree or
disagree because of different believes.
First of all to answer this we have to know clearly the
definition of person, the definition according to the
dictionary is, “A person is a being that has certain capacities
or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-
consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established
form of social relations“.
So, People disagree to this because we can clearly see that
the definition of person says that he or she has
consciousness or social relationships. If the persons memorys
are erased he is clearly not having consciousness of knowing
who he is and will not have the same relationships, morality
or reson of life as he used to.
For example , rene Descartes believed that the body and
mind are distinct and separable (dualism), so being in the
same body has no importance beacuse the ability to think
and reason can be different.
The features that will define you as a person will not be
the same, I;m talking about personal identity, so this are
features that a person feels a special sence of attachemnet
or ownership that will be completely vanished if memories
are erased and a new person would grow with different
features..
On the other hand mononist believes, think that the mind
and the body are the same biological organism, so they can
say that he or she will still be the same person because
they still have the same body which will bring out the same
features as he had before. The mind is a persons ability to
think or reason the intellect , so if a peron is still in the
same body will bring out the same capacity to resonate.

2. First of all identity is “The fact of being who or what a person or thing is“ .
Personal identity caries out the feauturs that define you as a person or make her
the person she is. I think identity is fixed because people change during time, they
live different experiences which will change him or she the way of thinking or
acting that will determinate the person he becomes.
Life is to long and full of changes, every day is different and every day you fill
different emotions, Each day you can change the way of thinking, the way you
see life and the way you want to live it. So identity is chaning continuously
because you experience every day different things that will change the feutures
that will define you. So the question is who am I , will I be the same every day or I
will change each day depending on my actions wich will change my identity …
