Galapagos Tour 5 days 4 nights

1. When you arrive at the Baltra airport in the Galapagos islands, tourists must
pay the entrance to the Galapagos National Park, whose value depends on
your nationality. On this tour this tax is included.

2. At the exit of the airport, is your naturalist guide waiting for you, with a sign
with your names. He is going to help you arrive to the pier of Baltra Island.

3. Once at the pier, you must take the ferry that will transport you to Santa Cruz
Island, this trip will last approximately 10 min.

4. When you arrive at the pier of the island of Santa Cruz, a private vehicle
awaits you in which the journey will begin.

Recommendations: For your safety and for optimal enjoyment of the tour, it is
important that for all tours you wear a cap, glasses, sunscreen and have a
bottle of water, it is possible to re-fill it in the hotels.

You must remember that you are visiting a protected área, the respect for
nature is very important:

• Keep distance with animals, at least 2 meters. Do not touch or feed them.
• It is not allowed to use flash in the photos of Galápagos fauna.
• Respect the trails and do not leave them.
• Do not throw trash.

Day one
Visit Los Gemelos: After traveling in the vehicle from the airport for
approximately 20 minutes, we arrive at "Los Gemelos" which are two colapses of
lava flows crossed by the road resulting from a series of volcanic eruptions during
the formation process of the islands. It is located in the upper part of Santa Cruz
Island; On the site there is a guided tour through the forest of Escalecia (endemic
plant of Galápagos), with an estimated duration of 20 min. You can see ferns,
mosses, orchids, Galapagos finches,and flycatchers. At the end of the tour we
return to the vehicle to continue to el Rancho Chato II.

Rancho Chato II: It is a large private farm where you can see giant tortoises in
their natural habitat, which circulate freely in the highlands of the island, as well
as endemic plants and lava tunnels. This visit includes the entrance to the ranch
and the possibility of using rubber boots if necessary. At the end of the visit we
have lunch in the same place. *The activities could switch depending in the time
of your arrival.

After lunch we go to the hotel, to designate rooms and recommendations for


optional activities in the afternoon.
Dinner is at Hernán Café Restaurant, at 7:00 p.m.

Day two
Kayak activity in tortuga bay: this beach is located aprox at 2 km from puerto
ayora in Santa Cruz island, ideal place to walk at a white sand beach, where we
can find marine iguanas, marine birds, On this beach we have the kayack
activitie, on the trip we could see babies white tip sharks, sea turtles, rays and
some others marine species.

Lunch is at Galápagos Deli resturant; After lunch we will return to the hotel to get
ready for the next activitie that is the visit to the breeding center and “The tortoise
path” at 15:00. On this visit we are going to know about some projects of the
Galapagos National Park for the conservation of the islands, and the body of the
“Lonesome George” the last individual of Pinta Island.

The dinner is at Calle de los Kioskos at 19:00

Day Three
Departure to Isabela Island, Puerto Villamil.
The trip is on a speedboat, we must be at the principal dock at least one hour
before the boat leaves. Includes the tax at the entry of Puerto Villamil of use of
the pier on the island.

Visit to Tintoreras: A short navigation of 20 min is made, starting at the dock


aboard a small boat. The islet takes its name from the white fin sharks known as
Tintoreras. This is considered one of the most fascinating species of Galápagos,
we can also find: sea lions, marine iguanas, blue footed boobies, crabs (Sally
Lightfoot Crab), sea turtles, pelicans and the peculiar Galapagos penguins.

Visit to the Wetlands: This Tour includes 2 places to visit

1. Pozo de los Flamingos,


2. Turtle breeding center where you can see 5 different species of turtles

Return to Santa Cruz Island at 15:00 (you need to chek in the boat at least 30min
before it leaves)

Important: the order of the activities could change according of disponibility

Day four

Visit Bartolomé Island: departure at 06:00 (includes: breakfast and lunch)


It is a volcanic islet near the east coast Santiago island. It is one of the youngest
island in the Galápagos. This island, and Sullivan Bay, on the island of Santiago,
is named after the naturalist and lifelong friend of Charles Darwin Sir James
Sulivan Bartholomew,
It has two visits here. In the first one, you can swim and snorkel around Pinnacle
Rock; The underwater world is interesting on the island, you could find penguins,
sea turtles, white tip reef sharks and other tropical fish. The bay is also an
excellent place to go swimming.

Sullivan Bay: In this place you can see amazing lava formations, product of a
volcanic eruption in 1903. This is an excellent sample of colors and typical forms
that contrast with lavas of other older types.

Day five
Transfer out to the airport, the departure will be scheduled 3 hours before,
according to the flight departure.
