Some rules for Active and Passive voice:

 The object group (because sometimes a group of three-four words can also be an
object) of the Active Verb is made the Subject of the Passive Verb.
 The Subject of the Active Verb is made the object of some Preposition (generally
‘by’)
 We use past participle form of the verb in the passive voice.
 Always retain the subject-verb agreement.
 There is no change in the tense.
 If the sentence is interrogative, it will remain interrogative.
 With modals always use ‘be’ e.g.
He can run a race. – A race can be run by him.
 In negative sentences not is put between the helping verb and the past participle,
e.g.- She does not play tennis. – Tennis is not played by her.
 We change ‘who’ into ‘by whom’.
e.g.- Who has broken the slate? – By whom has the slate been broken?
 In the imperative sentences having request or advice, we change, ‘you are
requested to’, ‘you are advised to’ etc.
e.g. Please open the door. – You are requested to open the door.
 Other imperative sentences expressing order, command, advice etc. start them
with ‘Let’ and use ‘be’ before the Past Participle form. E.g.
Do it – Let it be done.
