RMT recently entered into talks with South Western Railway in

good faith hoping to bring an end to the dispute. However, the
company sabotaged the talks by confirming they intend to roll
out the extension of Driver Only Operation regardless.
FACT This strike IS about the safety of you, the passengers
FACT This is NOT about more pay
FACT It IS about train companies trying to make more profits
FACT It IS about keeping safety-critical jobs

A second, qualified safety-critical person on all trains at all times,
trained to deal with:
l Managing incidents l Emergency protection of trains
l Controlled and emergency evacuations l Electrical isolations
l On-train equipment l Train defects l Unruly/unsocial behaviour
l Assisting elderly, infirm and disabled passengers l Giving information
lRoute diversions l On-board fires l Signalling systems and regulations
l Suspect articles/behaviour l On-board illnesses l Train despatch
