What are manipulatives?

Science - catapults (3rd-5th Grade)
Suggested steps:

1. Rubber band 5 popsicle sticks together


2. Secure two popsicle sticks with another rubber band at one end
3. Put the stack of 5 popsicle sticks between these two
4. Secure everything with a rubber band
5. Add launching device (spoon) to top popsicle stick with rubber bands
6. Put marshmallow in spoon
7. Launch!
Math- measuring (5th-7th grade)
Steps:

1. Pick a flat surface to measure


2. Choose two different length measuring tools to measure your surface
3. Record your measurements
