Intergraph ™ Smart 3D Setup, Configuration, Administration and Support

Tasks
A Smart 3D project has many tasks that need to be performed during its life-time. Tasks can be categorized in several ways.
Frequency: one time, daily, weekly, monthly or as-needed.
Location in GWC (at Host, at both Host and Satellite, at either location Host, Satellite or outsourced Outside)
Automatability: no, yes or partly
Role: There may be multiple individuals in each role or one person may be performing one or more roles depending on the size and phase
of the project and knowledge and expertise of individual
IT: S3D Administration related to IT/DBA (application and/or database backups, software installation, and deployment of hot fixes)
RD: S3D Administration related to Reference Data (catalog bulkload, codelists, properties)
PA: S3D Administration related to Project Administration (access control, approval, systems)
DS: S3D: Administration related to Design Support (filter creation, deliverables configuration, references, to-do list management,
audits)
Task in the following table are not in order of priority. One-time tasks (required to be done before design work begins) are listed first followed by
daily, weekly and as-needed tasks. Certain tasks (e.g. integration, GWC, export/import, automation) may not apply based on the size and needs of
the project.
This document provides a list of these typical tasks based on several project implementations. It is a guideline rather than a definitive list and the
tasks, the roles involved in each task as well as the location where the tasks are performed will likely vary for each company or project based on
their implementation strategy.
