I myself am not a technology savvy person, so I was
interested to learn about new equipment that I could
master before I got a teaching career. Taking this course
online did present some difficulties since I am a hands-
on learner, but overall, I feel it was rewarding. An
assignment that really stuck with me is the virtual field
trip. We were required to create an online fieldtrip for a
group of pretend students to take. This field trip had to
be as authentic as possible, and visually pleasing. I didn’t
even think of doing a type of activity like this before, and

it made me realize how great of a resource this would be
for schools in a deprived area.

the most specific aspects of an early childhood
educations teachers career is professionally interacting
with your student’s guardians. More times than not, you
will encounter an issue with a parent, or a moment
where you need to sit and discuss a heavy issue. In this
course, we did mock parent teacher conferences. We
were able to partner up with another student and each
assume a role. In my case, I was the teacher and my
friend was the parent. She came into the classroom and
pretended to be very upset about something her son
told her, and I had to act calmly and professionally as I
explained my answer.

Communicate in X During my Spring 2018 semester at Seton Hill I took
a second Spanish II. Being a second level course, the majority of the
language at the class was submerged in the Spanish language. While at
introductory times it was difficult, I feel like this tactic allowed me to
college level learn the language a lot better. One assignment we did
was hold a conversation with a peer in front of the
classroom. This was something I was nervous about, but I
feel like once I started talking it was a lot of fun. It was a
great learning strategy, and I honestly feel better prepared
for my future if I should come in contact with a student
who speaks another language.

Generate and X While at Seton Hill, I have taken a math class that taught

Interpret In my Faith Religion and Society class we discussed

Demonstrate X In my Senior Seminar class, we were required to discuss an


ethical decision- ethical issue that presents itself in our major, or our
making intended career field. As an education major, there is a

philosophical code and chose a portion of it and presented it to the
inquiry class. I spoke about how teachers and parents need a
healthy, appropriate relationships and provided a factual
paper to reinforce my presentation.

contemporary all of the principles, but my favorite one was called

it was important to care for our friends who are less
fortunate.
